Black Caps v South Africa

I'd expect NZ were complacent soming into this. match. In fact I wouldn't blame them, they are playing a D Grade South Africa, I'm complacent. If they lose, they'll (we'll) just have to wallow in their mediocrity.
Blackcaps have had a habit of complacency the last 3 years now. Losing to Bangladesh (after which Stead told us not to be arrogant and expect to win like All Blacks fans, pathetic). Then lost second test v a poor-batting South Africa a week after walloping them.
Stead has been re-appointed (without challenge). So, obviously no one sees a problem with anything, it's all hunky-dory.
On this particular test. Mis-reading a pitch is not complacency, so I'll give them a pass on that. Sometimes shit happens. I don't blame them for wanting a 4 seamer attack at home, it has worked.
On the selections. Jamieson is apparently in doubt for the Aussie tests.
There is complacency is in selecting the older guys who haven't been able to put in the prep.

Back. related to the stress fracture he just over came.

How do we go through an entire session without giving Wags a bowl? I haven't been impressed by Southee's captaincy at all this series.

Exactly. What’s the point in two part timers rolling the arm over when we need to strike ?

@Rapido I can't remember it either - though I reckon our speed guns are a bit dialled back compared to Australian ones.

Aussies always talk it up though. They reckon Jeff Thomson bowled at 180kph prior to speedguns working properly.

I've only watched probably even more intermittently, but I hadn't seen him break 127kmh.
Wags broke 130 yesterday.
Edit - may not have been yesterday but definitely first innings
