And the NFL season kicks off again with the Broncos holding off the Panthers in their Superbowl rematch 21-20. How the fuck Carolina lost that game I'll never know. Trevor Siemian is the luckiest QB in the NFL right now. Has the best defence in the game and a good running back in CJ Anderson.

      @Sneakdefreak

Relying on a kicker to miss a 50 yarder at altitude is not a goo dway to win.

Watched the game. Amazed the refs didn't call the Denver for targetting the head. Seemed blatant at times, but just not called. Cam Newton is one tough mofo, but you can't do that every week no matter what

Brock Osweiler starts with the Texans with an interception in his first drive. M4L fist pumps with a "yes!"

Brock Osweiler finishes with 231 yards and 2 touchdowns. Fuck .

Still, it was only the Bears, he could still be a bust.

No Brady for New England equates to Jimmy Grap winning his first NFL start against the Cards 23-21.

Heeellll yeaahhh.... start up the muthafucker championship parade!

49ers begin the Chip Kelly era with a 28-0 shut out of the LA Rams in MNF. Gabbert was kinda shit though. #undefeated

Von Miller looks like the MVP already.

That muthafucker championship parade I was writing about earlier.....yeah, that ain't happening after today's game.

<p>I thought this would be a good time to fire up the 2016 NFL thread.</p>
                        <p> </p>
<p>Tom Brady's suspension has been reinstated on appeal so at this stage is due to miss 4 games this season.</p>
                        <p> </p>
<p>This Friday Aus/NZ time is Day 1 of the 2016 NFL Draft which continues to run over the weekend.</p>
                        <p> </p>
<p>The big news from the draft is the LA Rams have traded up to Number 1 (from 15 with Tennessee) and the Philadelphia Eagles have traded up to Number 2 (from 8 with Cleveland). It's pretty much a done deal each of the two top QBs will go 1 and 2, with the smart money on the more polished Jared Goff to go 1 to LA and big-bodied Carson Wentz to go number 2 to the Eagles.</p>
                        <p> </p>
<p>My 49ers haven't been able to get a deal done to trade Kaepernick so for now he remains. I wouldn't be surprised with a trade down by the 49ers in Round 1 if one of their coveted players (e.g. DE Buckner) doesn't fall to them. </p>
                        <p> </p>
<p>The top 10 in the Draft Round 1 are as follows</p>
                        <p> </p>
                        <p>1. LA Rams</p>
                        <p>2. Philadelphia Eagles</p>
                        <p>3. San Diego Chargers</p>
                        <p>4. Dallas Cowboys</p>
                        <p>5. Jacksonville Jaguars</p>
                        <p>6. Baltimore Ravens</p>
                        <p>7. San Francisco 49ers</p>
                        <p>8. Cleveland Browns</p>
                        <p>9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers</p>
                        <p>10. New York Giants </p>

@Bovidae Da Bears are crap anyway. Fullbacks are becoming a rarity in the NFL these days, most favour using a tightend if they need a run blocker.

Pats shut out the Texans, and win 27-0 with their 3rd string quarterback, not to mention a lot of players unavailable..

Not very often you win a game when your QB only throws for 103 yards.

@mimic That'll teach the Pats for their "deflating of footballs". 3-0 and Tom Brady is well rested.

So hard to pick right now. How do the Eagles beat the Steelers by 30? Ridiculous.

Meanwhile the Pats are winning with their 3rd string QB. Even at week 3 it looks like they are out for blood this year, and the comp is theirs to lose.
