@paekakboyz don't need to be signwritten for tax deductions bro, just need a good accountant!
-
@taniwharugby I was wondering about that - I had thought you needed some form of branding/signage - even if that was minimal to get the tax break. Hmm I wonder if this is part of the issue for Fletchers!! sounds like they have shit accountant (and board, board chair, ummm and a few others!!).

Drive past the transmission gully site office in the morning and check out all the new Colorado’s .

@jegga will his vehicle be branded? For tax deduction etc? or is this just a spend up as he's flush (for now!)
It’s all sign written, the caravan .... I mean site shed isn’t though. He gave me a run down on why he turns over his vehicles a few years back . It was something to do with not being able to claim depreciation on his buildings as he didn’t own it . He also bought a scaffolding business too which is getting bigger all the time. He’s been doing it 30 plus years so obviously learned a thing or too I guess.

Yup seems to be one or the other
Couple years ago the flavour of the month were those VW utes, but the past year seems to Rangers you see everywhere.
I can’t talk though, last year I put a 2016 Holden sportswagon on the mortgage. My brother has had 30 + Volkswagens over the years ( don’t ask me why) and really wants an Amarok . He spotted one of these on trademe last year . He got close to buying it until he looked into its history and put 2 and 2 together.
Sucks for the people that bought one -
@taniwharugby the good oil is that others are in a similar situation to Fletchers but scale is the difference

@virgil again?
Have to be a pretty poorly run/managed organization to lose money in a construction boom.
Cost escalation is a massive issue. Know some major clients who are getting frustrated with it - double digit year on year cost increases for basically the same work. Demand >> Supply --> cost increases.
Fletchers won't be the only ones, just the most visible. Also, lump sum large complex projects are a nightmare. Avoid, avoid, avoid

Yeah those were all the rage 3 or 4 years ago then the new Rangers came out. We are based next to some sparkies. Between then the senior guys must drive about 4 or 5 of them -
@tim 'a "sought after" model in Dunedin and Queenstown' Hahaha
Judge is clever enough to notice that she's held it together all these years; 'an unblemished record' as a 19 year old.Avoiding convictions is ridiculous. You committed the crime ffs.

Any more photos of her? My level of outrage will be in proportion to her hotness

@tim did she also play rugby?
Actually most of what they say is true. I know Lynda (many years ago) and think that I have met Caroline too.
This made me chuckle.
"But who are these enigmatic figures, and what do they really think about their jobs, their passengers and the awe with which they're routinely regarded?"
Hardly enigmatic - often load mouthed and obnoxious. Like most of the general populous.
The job is shit, passengers suck and are a constant problem. Freight is way easier. Awake all night, constantly jet lagged and tired leads to grumpy pissed of people who struggle to hold decent relationships.
Routinely regarded with "Awe", you are fucking kidding me. Treated like scum by the employers and passengers alike.Other than that it's great! (sarcasm emoticon thing).
I could go on and bore you all about the miseries of it but most of it is in the article and I have to go to the Blues pre-season match now.
