I know I've said it before but I'll say it again. Her transition from hot Maori chick with big jugs to fat tattooed feral looking, short haired mingaish smelly looking dyke is truly and utterly staggering.
She was never that hot, they had to use a couple of tricks with her videos to try and hide the fact she was a chubster. Also you left a couple of things out of your post I took the liberty of adding.

She signed a deal with a decent sized record label in the states . They told her that they wanted her to lose weight , she went back to NZ got fatter and decided she preferred the clam to the chutney ferret and they realised she was an unreasonable nutcase and dumped. She says it’s because Americans are stupid , yeah the record label are the stupid ones dear.

I'm sure I read an article not that long ago where she sort of admitted that she'd fucked up and thrown away an opportunity of a lifetime, and when she realised it was far too late. I looked but I can't find it though

I'm sure I read an article not that long ago where she sort of admitted that she'd fucked up and thrown away an opportunity of a lifetime, and when she realised it was far too late. I looked but I can't find it though
The was a doco last year about kiwi women in rock , Sharon O’Neill talked about how as her record label was about to launch her in the Uk market there was a strike at the record printing plant and her career never regained momentum, Jenny Morris talking about how paralysis of her vocal cords ended her career.
And then there was Anika Moa, given the opportunity those other two would have killed for. The record label were going to invest a lot of money in her and market her in the US as the next Jewel , they loved her songs but they wanted her to lose some weight and try and give a veneer of sanity or at least not say such fucking stupid things if she was in the vicinity of s microphone.You know the rest, I wonder if she looks at Lorde and wonders what might have been?

It’s fucken hard ‘work’ there are times I long to escape back to work!

I should add my wife does home based child care, best thing we ever came across. It’s allowed her to be at home all the way through our girls upbringing ( both now at school) while earning a pretty decent crust ( awesome tax breaks) looking after up to 4 other peoples kids every day is definitely a job. She has paper work fills out reports has to follow set plans for each kid. She loves it but it’s not the same as raising our 2 girls ( ours are much worse :))
