Small-town New Zealand is one of the most misogynistic cultures I've ever seen - and I've lived in Saudi Arabia. @Baron-Silas-Greenback Fair points but that comes down to my second point. Would anybody have read / discussed / thought about aspects of this article if there wasn't the shock (i.e bullshit) factor? Fair enough people are calling the but some of the comments before I called it out were right up the alley of the stuff she is writing about.
For the rest, we'll have to agree to disagree.

If the KKK wrote an article saying that Blacks are worthless because the shapes of their skulls make them less intelligent than whites.. but also mentioned how much black on black crime their is... it would be similar. Just because you throw a little abstract 'fact' in there does not make the actual any more deserving of discussion and a MSM platform. -
My best mates, within days of arriving on their OE went across to Calais and then headed toward Paris.
While there they pulled into a petrol station to ask for directions, a fella who was in the petrol station offered to show them where to go.
Turned out he was a local thug, son of some Mafia type....pulled a gun on my mates, mate them drive around to a bunch of ATMs to withdraw money, worse still (to my mate) was he stole his brand new AB jersey) eventually got them to drop him off at some dodgy looking placem, telling them it would be in their interests to not speak to the police...
Moral of the story?
Small towns in France are run by criminals!

I'm not picking on anybody, I just think that this is not necessarily such a shit idea from stuff. Everybody learns a damn site more from criticism than praise.
An although I certainly acknowledge that the stuff being pointed out in NZ happens in other countries, it doesn't make it any less shit that it's happening at home.
Do people think 8 year old Michael in Morrinsville who got his arse kicked today and his lunch money stolen by a bigger boy trying to prove he was tough (proving the opposite to all mature people) takes solace that Mikael in Minsk has the same issue in his country?
Look, I can see why people got up in arms, as some of the shit spouted was clearly that. But I still think it's a worthwhile exercise.

Goddamn, I am sick to death of the 'no openly gay All Black' line.
Who ANY professional sportsman spends his nights with is no one's business but his own.
(Could you imagine the pressure? Not only do they have to perform on the field, but sportsmen are already given the job as role models for the portion of deadbeats around the country. Imagine being hounded by the social justice fuckfaces to be the gay role model too. No peace. No private life. Ugh.)
