After Australia lost to India and failed to qualify for ICC Men’s T20I World Cup 2024 semi-finals, David Warner announced retirement from international cricket.

An interesting final matchup. SA as newbies to CWC finals in total, and India not having a CWC T20 title since the inaugural comp in 2007.

India's record, while one more title than us, still feels surprising given the IPL etc.

Someone still has to stop Rohit Sharma at the top.
Also doesn’t help SA that India have had something like five different player of the match awards, so someone different has stood up each time

@bayimports Yeah - pretty tough job for SA to win this one. The Indians have pretty much dismantled all comers to date.

I guess the Jaapies have done what they did at RWC - repeatedly snuck home by a point.
