Have just finished watching Argentina absolutely dismantle South Africa in a forward clinic. Seriously impressive win by the Argies, they were up 24-0 at one stage.

Also Italy beat Australia 17-12 and Georgia led Ireland until after the hooter before Ireland scored the winner.

Sad to see that Samoa lost 123-15 to Scotland in the Trophy competition.

England to play six nations rivals Ireland in one semi final on Sunday

@Kiwidom lol how have they worked that out? Surely we play teams from opposite sides of the draw. At least we know the blueprint to beat the French now.

It's like the current WS sevens as there are only 3 groups. Teams are seeded 1-4 for the SF games.

    So:
NZ 15 pts (Pool A winner)
England 14 pts (Pool C winner)
Ireland 11 pts (Pool B winner)
    France 11 pts (Best RU)

Australia U20s coach Grey blasts call to cancel Ireland game, ending World Championship semi-final hopes

Australia U20s coach Grey blasts call to cancel Ireland game, ending World Championship semi-final hopes

The Australia U20s hopes of advancing into the semi-finals of the 2024 U20 World Championships have been taken out of their hands after freak weather cancelled their game against Ireland.

This left Grey furious, questioning the call to cancel the game after playing in worse conditions in the Rugby Championship whilst suggesting the decision was made after a push from the Irish camp.

"Bitterly disappointed for the players and the staff but the decision has been taken out of our hands and we don't get the opportunity to play Ireland and finish on top of our pool," he said via RugbyPass

"We played two games of Rugby Championships in much worse conditions but a strong push from the Irish doctor seemed to work with World Rugby in cancelling the game."

Futhering the anger was the revelation that the two later games were cleared to play on the pitch.

"...The conditions are fine. The surface water isn't that bad. Yeah it's boggy and wet but no worse than any conditions Ireland have played in before and certainly we've played in before.

"The conditions are properly better than what we played Italy in so it's a bit confusing."

Lol, he has a point BUT he's a rubbish coach, and we had no chance of beating Ireland.

Maybe if we beat Italy the two points would be welcomed

I watched the other SF (England vs Ireland). The English tight five are huge, particularly the TH prop and locks (all three of them). They monstered the Irish scrum so I would think they will do the same against France based on how NZ did against France. The NZ U20s will need to tackle well as the Irish movement off the ball and attacking shape is similar to the senior team.

England win the tournament. A really powerful forward pack. I could see Steve Borthwick fast-forwarding the U20 props into the full national team.
