I read that in their three knockout games the Lionesses were ahead for only 4 minutes and 16 seconds combined and they lost their first game against France and yet they won the tournament.
There is a huge lesson there for other international teams preparing for major tournaments. It's finishing brilliantly that matters.

Lucy Bronze, England's Right Back, revealed she played the entire tournament with a broken tibia. Respect!

WSL attendance was down more than 10% last season so it will be interesting to see how the FA use the Lionesses success int he Euros to reignite year-round interest in the women's game.
More fixtures at different times to EPL fixtures or as curtain raisers would seem sensible. I think the potential market in the UK for women's football, if marketed well, is enormous.

Son Heung Min is leaving Spurs with immediate effect. Such a great servant for the club. But he's diminished and this way Frank isn't pressured to play him, and Sonny doesn't suffer the prospect of riding the bench for a team when he always used to be first name on the sheet.
