the consensus with the yachty people ive talked to this morning is its mostly about SailGP......Dalton wants him more committed to the Americas cup...Burling enjoys SailGP and the season is getting bigger apparently
So he's basically off to play IPL....
pretty much, although he was already doing it...just slitting his time
the interesting thing will be if there is a americas cup team out there that is happy for him to split his time

I think other teams will be falling over each other to sign him purely based on his A Cup record alone. I'm sure the logistics of him sailing at SailGP as well won't be an issue.

@Canes4life agreed, Dalton probably claiming theyre aiming higher or something, keep growing etc....other teams will fall over themselves for him knowledge alone

If that was the case, you have to be careful not to be too proud....

The question is for Team NZ, who will replace him?
Nathan Outteridge is just as good as Burling, and better in some areas.

Yeah he’d be top of the list surely.

As expected.
Blair Tuke and Andy Maloney won’t be following Peter Burling to the exit door after committing to Team New Zealand’s next defence of the America’s Cup.
Australia Nathan Outteridge will also replace Burling as skipper for the Cup’s next edition in 2027 after the latter’s bombshell departure last month.

i was pretty certain it was going to be the middle east, not a bad result as far as strengthening historic fan bases

Peter Burling joins Italian syndicate Luna Rossa for the 38th America's Cup
Off to sail for the dirty lucre. Fair enough
