An article in the Sunday Star-Times about the 68 SR one-game wonders to date. Many of the recent players are only at the start of their careers so won't stay on this list. Well done if you can remember all, or most of them!

    Here is the summary graphic.

So ... searching for EP player lists is seemingly impossible ... but I found the following passage in some sort of archive previewing the 1997 BIL v EP tour match confirming Webber made the switch to EP.

      In many ways, Richard Hill
      the England open-side flanker
      who turned 24 yesterday, will
occupy the hottest seat of the
      lot this afternoon. To begin
with, he is up against a distinctly
      useful opponent in Matthew
      Webber, Easterns' new recruit
from the Auckland Blues - the
      reigning Super 12 champions
who tend not to produce too
      many second-raters. More sig-
nificant still, however, is the fact
that Hill will be at the very epi-
      centre of the breakdowns,
      where refereeing interpreta-
      tions are so critical.

Reckon that means I'm right, but can't find direct reference as yet.

Silly bugger, surely the news crew would have expensed those coffees and claimed it back!

Yep @DaGrubster , I don't catch a lot of Aus derbies, only the Reds/Brumbies/Tahs games. Do find if rugby on tv and I am about I watch it, but Aus games tend to be later anyway, so an effort for me to stay up.

Has any of the other teams (apart from the Chiefs) officially announced their full list of NDC players yet? Earlier media reports and some TV news footage does show some likely players training but it's always good to know which players have been identified.

I assume Norris was squeezed out when Savea signed for MP. He was one of their better performing players last year.

It would be really nice this year if we started the season with accurate height and weight measurements for every player.

That's way too big an ask for franchises to get the basics right and provide fans with accurate information.

More stats would be great, it just involves the fans more.
No idea why payer stats and things such as bronco's are all kept secret.
There is obviously a demand for it.

It is crazy the stats that are generated here in the States for various sports. Really confused why rugby is just so far behind.

@Darren thought it was interesting an NRL team posted their Bronco stats the other day, but called it the 1200m shuttle run...I wonder if they didnt call it a bronco cos the Broncos or their SM person thought it was more a rugby term?

The talk is that the Official Fantasy game could be a game changer for all of this.

Despite the negativity from some quarters, I do actually think with the commission SRP is headed in the right direction.
