How good? They grounded out a win without going full retard. You could see the headless chook appear at times (it is going to take time to get fully rid of it) but generally a very pragmatic win. Exits good, close-in defense good,... Beyond stoked.@Old-Samurai-Jack very different to.the southern part of the year, today they were comfortable in the grind.
I reckon the team takes a lot out of that belief-wise

Berry getting shit, but I thought the way he reffed the breakdown suited us. Another ref might have let Ireland get more of an upper hand, as they play right to the line. Yes, he was a bit erratic, but all in all I think he was good for our play.

Huh, I thought DMac was excellent tonight. Exits in the first half in particular were orgasmic for a AB fan that hasn’t seen a good one in about 7 years
Goal kicking was ace
A couple of bad options, but shit, he handles the ball about 800 times per game, he’s not going to get them all right, especially when he was getting served tripe for 50 minutes
The bombs were all on the money for Clarke to compete too
The quick throw was def mostly on Jordan - he probably shouldn’t have thrown it all all, but when he did, it was such a weak pass that DMac had to come back to the ball towards the sideline and into the traffic. If the pass was quicker he could have gotten into space on the outside
I have Aumua as my MOM, but DMac was great tonight

Only saw 2nd half but I continue to have serious reservations about Jordan at 15.

Injury really is NZ’s best selector.

Our front 5 and the tight reserves did their role well tonight.. another ref and they would have had a lot more pens in the first 30mins.
We are actually building some nice depth in 1 - 5
