I see Origin eligibility is back on the table after three big name Australian players are set to choose to play for Pacific Island sides over the kangaroos. This is ramming home the stupidity of the rule that you can play Origin and a "tier 2" nation. Which was sort of fine in the old days, but now that every 2nd player in the NRL is a Pacific Islander, and thus their teams are now really fucking good, the rule is basically fucking NZ and to a lessor extent England.

So they either have to go "to play Origin you have to play for Australia" which instantly puts the International game back to the 90s (and we'll end up with a kiwi team full of "kiwis"), or you say "if you qualify for Origin (moved to state before 12, meet all other criteria) then you can play for which ever test team you want".

I know which way they will go because there is absolutely no way they are risking the prestige of Origin by playing it without Tino and Hammer and Haas and To'o and Chricton.

Weekes wanting to play for both NSW and NZ is the latest catalyst in long line, funny NZ should almost be tier 2

Only seen parts of the first half, but the Dragons defence has been atrocious whenever I've looked... Cowboys 28 - Dragons 12 at only half time...

Mitch Moses comes back and the Eels win in Brisbane?

I don't think it's even a debate who the best player in the comp is.

The Eels are a very good side despite their position. Ryles is building something really nice there, getting rid of dead wood unlike other teams, and they'll be back competing high on the ladder in a year or 2.

I'm really excited about how good this Parra side could become.

Yeah the loss of hughes will be big ,

I’ve noticed being a supporter , the differences when they play without either Hughes , Munster , Grant or Paps ,

Hughes is generally the biggest loss to their structure and hardest to replace .

No question, but it's the rest of the side that they're building around him that I'm impressed by.

Spine and backs are coming along, if they can get some forwards they will be consistently dangerous

Games like tonight are why the Warriors have won zero Premierships in three decades...

Incredibly frustrating, seemed to go to shit once Egan left. No kick pressure or chase, no competing on kicks and some awful reads.

    What garbage.

Can’t lose games like that against bottom sides and expect to win comps.

DWZ has been a great player, but I think he’s done. He is an absolute liability on defence.

That's just so fucking Warriors isn't it? If we were honest we were lucky to win last week as well. I thought we could win out, now i am back in usual Wahs supporter mode of expecting us to drop down to 5th or 6th as Penrith just roll up the ladder.

Messed up round really. Broncos dropping to the Eels at home stuffed their top 4 hopes, and they continue to live and die on Reece Walsh either laying on a try for them or their opposition.
The Panthers smack the Tigers who still suck.
The Sharks are just a nothing side going nowhere. They beat the Rabbits reserve grade side by the barest of margins.
Dogs and the Raiders are locked in at the top of the table, and will make the prelim, and you think one of them makes the GF.

    @mariner4life

Watched Scott Sattler’s show on Saturday morning, and he had a segment on SOR eligibility
Making a few adjustments is a bit of a no brainer I think, should have already been done
Be a double whammy – it’d make both SOR and international league stronger

ALL NSW and Qld juniors qualifying for SOR, no matter who they play for internationally
i.e. Victor Radley (NSW junior) for NSW and England yes; Sam Burgess (England junior) nah
The other example he brought up was reece walsh (qld junior) playing for NZ (by descent)
A player like Frank Pritchard (NSW junior) would have been SOR eligible; I think the only time Frank was ever in NZ was when the Kiwis had a game there

Sattler then had a sook; whining that all the other international teams will be stronger, making at harder for Aus to win; “I just want Aus to win”; F’n pussy!

Sharks with their roster should be doing way better. Just when you think maybe Hynes was judged harshly he brings a timely reminder of his frailties.
Galvin looking more comfortable at the Dogs and the Dogs looking dangerous. Although I still dont think they win.
Raiders looking extremely smooth and seem to know when to put the foot down.
Wahs should make top 4 but probably wont because the coach believes in his players even when some are consistently underperforming.
and Mitchel Moses is jus incredibly good
