You know what really annoyed me about Walsh's game tonight? He was fearless in defence, where was that when he was with the Warriors?
But man he was on fire tonight.

Congrats Madge.
Wish he was still coaching the Kiwis though.
Madge wanted to do both but NZRL wouldn't let him IIRC
That sounds about right for those idiots.

I still think Brisbane got absolutely kissed on the dick from the ref.
Walsh is going to get about 8 weeks in suspensions unless the use the "oh that was last season doo wahs"

Grand final rules are like Origin rules. The biggest surprise from the game was the binning at the end.

Their wingers were awesome. Wish we had good ones like that...

I wonder if Mariner ever in the Warriors system or the Broncos got him too early.
We look pedestrian compared to these teams. We need to cut a bunch of guys And usher in the rest of the youth movement

To be fair, when Walsh was a Wah we were shit

He was still going through puberty when he was at the Wahs lol.

It's funny with Madge, as he was the perfect fit with the Bronx. He's well past his best, but the Bronx were the only team that suited his old school style he the side is stacked the rooftops, but they got lazy under Walters and needed that coach to kick them into shape.
He literally wouldn't succeed at any other club.
-
I'm really happy for Madge and Hunt. Both get their redemption arcs
-
Don’t like Walsh but he was outstanding for the legal shit he did right. Happy for Madge as well. Think the brick and tui probably want to have their moments again if they could
-
NRL aye, a guy who fakes drinking from a dunny, has white line fever (and I’m not talking about tries), can be the best player in the biggest game and will/has been talked about on the telly and radio for the past hour or so non stop.
-
An extra special fuck you to channel 9 going in to the sheds to interview walsh and Mam in the hope of clicks. Absolute vermin. Made worse by Lockyer as a Broncos board member doing the dirty work
-
I reckon similar to last night, the entire game turns on one moment.
If kamaimica scores that game is over.

Thought that immediately at the time.
Took me back to the 1999 GF when Anthony Mundine dropped the ball over the line which changed the game completely in Melbourne' favour that day.

That was a fun watch ,
As a storm supporter although don’t follow as closely as years ago when I used to attend live games ,
I was concerned about the broncos , teams that get on a momentum roll can be hard to stop, and this isn’t the cam smith led storm , their best is as good as anyone but they have also shown they can fall apart when it’s not going their way.
Walsh is in a purple patch of form, reminds me of jarrod Hayne years ago when he had a crazy good season .
-
@kiwiinmelb commiserations. It’s interesting with the Storm this season, as great as they have been they have struggled with putting two great halves together.

Yeah consistency has been the Bellamy trademark, and this year has been quite the opposite .
They do play very different to the smith/ Cronk years though, that team was far more structured and methodical , Bellamy has adapted the game plan to suit his now players , far more ad lib playing what’s in front of them . Overall a different mindset which probably can lead to more fluctuations I guess .
