There was a telling stat earlier about Conway averaging 55+ in his first 12 tests, and something like mid 20's in his 14 most recent tests. Young isn't a perfect replacement, but is doing a lot better than Conway lately.

Honestly the reason we are getting smacked is the number of dropped catches, there's not much point reading into anything else. We can't drop more catches than my social club side has ever done in a single innings and expect to be in the game at all. Between now and the 2nd test Stead should have them all in the field 8 hours a day practicing. He also needs to check a few bank accounts because it was beyond ridiculous.

@Donsteppa I think in cricket like Rugby there has to be a proportion of selections that are on form.
Form temporary/class permanent doesn’t always cut it.

Drop Blundell, make Conway keep wicket and bat in the middle order to try and rebuild his confidence. Young slots in to open. Latham is captain so he's just gonna have to do better. Simples

Blundell has had catching issues for a while now whilst Conway is a part timer

Nah Conway adds no more than Blundel with the gloves new WK ,Conway doesn’t need to worry about WK as well.
Conway goes away and sorts out those horrible technique problems he has even batting in the middle order they will produce the same results.

That’s is not Blundel he has been untidy for a while.
So agree pick the best WK.
