    @Chris

    There are two Chris Woakes. The one that plays at home and then the other one.

    We have the other one.

          Actually his overall record is very good. We’ll see how he goes tomorrow. At least he is an all rounder who all rounds unlike the kiwi one

            Yeah he does (in England) contribute all round but his primary job is bowling and I don't feel that without Broad and Anderson, we can carry him if he continues with his overseas form. No matter what he adds with the bat.

            Cue, match winning innings from Woakes.

            if only.

                No surprises there, the surprise for me will be if we successfully navigate first session without too much loss

                  Bowling first is always a bit of a risk, if they don't run through our top order in the first hour we are suddenly on top. Just need to survive, comon lads!

                    Stokes: "The wicket generally gets better and better here as cricket is played on it. There's a nice covering a grass on it so hopefully, we can get something out of it with the new ball.

                    Latham: "We were going to bowl, but if you bat well in the first session, things can get a little bit easier

                          That's an excellent catch. Not great from Conway though, needs to play with softer hands against the new ball on the first morning of a test

                              Fuck Conway out to a nothing caught and bowled.

                              That hurts because England’s first couple of overs were not very threatening

                                      Wonder how much Stead is thinking, "Fuck, we should have played Will Young"?

                                      A couple of years ago, Conway used to look rock solid - now, he looks pretty shaky. He'd already played at one that was well outside off stump and bouncing.

                                        @No-Quarter I was facetiously hoping Atkinson had bowled another no ball.

                                          That was a very tight leave from Latham, but it did show the benefits of being able to leave balls outside off. Woakes immediately over compensated and was put away for four, and even the ball after that was too straight again
