@KiwiMurph I am not sure why the played the ODI in Wellington at the Basin, but I am glad they did. Much better atmosphere when the ground is packed.

Looks like we'll have a score to chase today

I hope so. Be good to see a big chase for us in the evening. I want to win but I also want to be entertained.

Shit yeah. Sri Lanka are not the kind of drawcard who would get the cake tin even half full. Basin is a much better option

Sri Lanka's had plenty of nice starts, their issue has been collapsing after the first wicket. Big test now.

Gutted for Nissanka, love watching a batter with a clean bat do well. Hopefully he makes it back out.

Henry gets one back and back to 0 catches for the match now. Sri Lanka wobbling big time now.

Henry with 150 ODI wickets. Excellent record.

SL 290/8 from their 50 overs.

Hopefully Eden Parks ridiculously short boundaries come into play when we bat

They were a bit average in the middle but Sri Lanka had a good start and finish, so 290 is a reasonable effort overall. Bit of scoreboard pressure on NZ - should be an interesting chase.

    Latham in.

I’ve always found it an interesting quirk that Astle, Ryder and Guptil opened in short forms and batted middle order in tests whereas Latham does the opposite.

Without stating the obvious but doing exactly that someone needs a big score here.

    …..and it wasn’t Latham.

Another brilliant catch and he’s gone for a duck.

Fair to say Hay would have got a better return than Latham's 1 run across 2 ODIs.....

They need just over a run a ball too.

….and as I type this Phillips continues not contributing anything much to the team.

They’re a different team than the last couple of matches. Absolutely fired up and everything is going their way.

We have batting to come but not enough for that kind of total.

Eden Park will save on power as they won't need to turn the lights on!
