Just playing on his natural instincts. Need more of that.

The plan now has to be for Mitchell and Phillips to try and bat another 10 overs, even if it's for 40 or so runs. Then we aim for 10 an over for the last 10 to get us to around 280. Then it's all up to our spinners to spin us home like they did in India recently.

If these two are still in with 10 overs to go we are still a chance.
I think we are writing off the significance of Mitchell’s innings far too early at this stage. If he goes cheaply or within the next 8 overs we are proper fucked.

Mitchell has the ability to make up the runs, the worry for us is that he isn’t in form atm.

I don't agree, a slightly higher strike rate would be nice but he's doing exactly what we needed him to do. The game was getting away from us very quickly, he's trying to give us something to bowl at.
