@Dan54 Was Jordie to Leinster a sabbatical? Not sure but he was 27 I think, and Roigard will be older than that by the time this contract finishes?
Yep but he had played 70 tests which apparently you have to of played before getting one.
Hey I not knocking Roigard and good on him for not applying (though I not sure how anyone knows what he asked for etc), but pretty confident he and manager would know it wouldn't be considered at this early stage so would be waste of time .. -

And after a WC and Lions tour, I'd expect him to take a sabbatical in 2030 and then come back prior to the next WC in 2031.
I would imagine that would be case too. Provided he doesn't get injured or anything, I would think he would be well entitled to one by then.

Hopefully no injuries for the match, as an aside the socials for the Hurricanes seemed to have improved since the Gillies takeover. Maybe they have enough funds for a dedicated social media manager? Anyway, this will be 'our year' and the year of Riley! Hurricanes, clap, clap, clap... Huricanes...

They've got a guy called Siah.Visuals as their Social Media guy. He's a Wellington lad who signed with the Blues a few years back but has now come home. Arguably the best young talent in the space so lucky to have him back where he belongs.
The content is so much better than last year.

His gib has a wonderful cut to it. Does this mean Jordie will be fullback most of the season ?

There will be a fair amount of rotation I'd expect. We'll likely see Higgins playing 12 and 13, we'll see Jordie play 12 and 15, we'll see Love play 10 and 15 at times, same with Harkin.
I just hope at the business end of the comp they stick with that combination of 10.Love, 12. Higgins and 15. Barrett.

@MN5 Thats the big question - i pick Jordie to be a team man and would follow the coaches instructions, but there has to be a bit of ego management when shifting the incumbent ab 12 to accomodate a young player here. Think even Cory Jane alluded to Jordie potentially not being too happy about spending time at 15 in a recent interview

Higgins isn't exactly a rookie though, this will be his fourth year in the squad, and the likes of Jane will be well aware of that, he'll be expecting plenty of minutes.
All these players are professional, what the coaches need to make clear from the start is that every player (no matter their status) should be ready to play multiple positions and do what's best for the team when required.
Jordie's not stupid either, he'll be well aware of Higgin's talents and for the betterment of the team I would say he would shift. Remember, he hasn't won a Super title yet so I'm sure he'll do whatever. He chopped and changed at Leinster don't forget.

Another Streamer I think.

Higgins would have been a better winger than a few of the other options we have had lately. Although in reality he has been injured at the wrong times for his career to prosper.

Unless Pledger (or someone else) has already surpassed him...
