A few old boys have returned. Hopefully we get decent production out of our imports

I’m a little worried about our rebounding prowess with that squad.

Turnover city tonight. And we gave up too many second shots. PJC seemed a little off. Plus we couldn’t hit the side of a barn door from outside. Fix up the turnovers and we could’ve escaped with a close win.

From a NZ perspective, Tyrell Harrison was cooking for the Bullets.

Breakers bang average tonight vs the Kings. Lacking in effort on D, settling for too many 3s, the new imports are struggling to assert themselves so far. Just not enough aggression and desire

@mariner4life were you there? He loves that gym for some reason. After that first quarter you just sensed he was going on a heater tonight.

The Taipans played pretty damn well all things considered- without Jack and Bryce on a big night. They had a chance late in the 4th to actually take a lead.

    Yup. I'm always fucking there.

We played probably the best we have all year. Scored. Dealt with everything they had...

    Except Bryce

    And the refs. fluffybunnies.

Just end this fucking season already.

As bad as Taipans team as I have seen. Very average imports. No size. No depth.

But I have come around to the fact Ford is the problem. Defensively we suck. The offence is static. Just shit.

I was willing to give slack given no preseason and the team coming together in the carpark before the first game.
But we're not getting better. This is about to be what, our 4th 30+ point loss?

Burn the joint to the ground.

Was a tough watch last night and Perry aren’t even that good.

JLA had Galloway on him - basically a 3 man who is tallish. BBQ chicken alert all night.

The side to side stuff on offence is terrible.

Ford needs to go. He’s toiled and it’s not a time to be sentimental when you’ve got a good support base that is holding on surely by a thread.

i think we all have Stockholm syndrome TBF. We grumble and threaten we are done, and we keep coming back.

But this is bad, getting repeatedly towelled up at home is breaking the contract. We don't expect you to win the comp, we do expect you to make the Convention Centre a tough place to get a W.

Looking back on the Forde years, we stuff the team with what i assume they hope are long wings than can shoot a 3. Most of the time they can't, so we can't score. But that complete lack of defense...

Galloway is shit. Only getting this many minutes because of Waardenburg. Schofield can go. If Lee can't stay out of foul trouble he can go as well. Andrews looks okay, at least he has a midrange game. Light at guard. No post game. No one who can drive to the hole. It's pass pass pass shoot the 3 (at 29%).

I hate it and i have to go again tomorrow, what the fuck are Melbourne going to do to us?

    Well that sucks.

Give up a 20 point lead at home after Sam Meninga was having a career best first half - 25 points in the first.

    Rubbish.

I didn't watch. Did we shoot and miss lots from 3 instead of stacking up the points in the paint?

Yes we started jacking it after being successful in the first half of playing outside in.

Fucking dumb. Once you get ahead just keep racking up the twos. Most teams in this league aren't good enough from 3 to catch up easily

Shared a flight from Perth to Sydney with the Hawks. Javale is a pretty big unit up close. At least he got to ride up the front of the bus though (even if he stood up most of the way) - the poor white C had to sit in the Economy exit row

The Breakers hand the Hawks a 42 point pumping, they really like this match up. Menenga and Lopez killed it inside, JPC pulled the strings well and didn't have to push his own offense, the two new imports showed up and NZB had 5 or 6 players in double figures. Loved the way they played, strong D, focussing on points in the paint and transition offense

@voodoo yeah JaVale is a genuine 7 footer. Pretty amazing how athletic he is

We came locked in last night. Started really well on the defensive end and rebounding. Our starting lineup is better with the size and having Ruben come off the bench. Lopez is really rounding out his game. Should be a first round pick in the draft next year.

Whilst we played well, something is smelly in Illawarra. Saw guys giving up in that 3rd and 4th quarters. Offence sucked when they didn’t run the ball through JaVale. Tough times ahead I think for the champs.
