    Initial thoughts are good win.

But we should have put them away when we were well on top, but we invited pressure on ourselves with awful options and worse execution.

South Africa played the better rugby. We were just lucky we got a few good tries early and could hold on.

Yeah I'm calling bullshit on that. We weren't great but I won't have that we got lucky and they played better rugby

Disagree. The Boks were good at set piece but unimaginative in attack. If we'd played with a little more assertiveness we would have won more comfortably

Ardie ain’t just a show pony. Fucccck off

    Rocks and diamonds

    Explain?

He’ll do soemthing amazing but his general work around the field, particularly the ruck, is very average.

Get out of town. You don’t play 100 tests for the ABs if you’re rocks and diamonds.

ALB has played 86, only 14 more to go...

Man, I’m pretty stoked. We are miserable lot looking for perfect rugby and backline moves, but in my experience the high intensity games, especially those in NZ winter conditions, rarely have attractive footy.

While I don't disagree, we parked the bus when they were there for the taking, and then invited them back in.

Good result for the All Blacks but the Springboks offered almost nothing in the first 60 minutes, constantly mucking up fairly basic plays.

I’d argue in many ways that Tupaea try did push it beyond doubt, and it did put it away. A 14 point margin ultimately proved to be enough, because the Boks had to score two converted tries.

Not sure you can expect it to be easy against the Boks. Stoked with the win.

Definitely wasn’t perfect but the team showed plenty of character tonight. Something to build on.

That was brilliant. I am 70 yo and my whole life AB/Bok tests have been the ultimate for me. And after tonight I haven't changed my mind. That was test rugby as it should be.

How the fuck is that not a YC?

    Because it was bullshit?

At least the TMO invented a high tackle to save face.

    Comedy.

    Shoulder to the head

    YC and off field review

Mitigation as attacker was falling in the tackle

    Stays YC

Been ruled that way for years

    Not tonight

God you've been a miserable prick tonight

    Consistently miserable at the non-officiating

    Unlike the officials

I notice you drop in to most games claiming the team playing the ABs is being robbed.

    Ahhh no thats harsh.

    Mikes a good poster.

Wet conditions ironically favored us because our backline sucks and it allowed Finlay to fuck around all day.
Forwards pretty good apart from scrum.
    Backline stink

Wasn't quite the Boks that I was expecting, but we were also better than hoped for too, so very happy to take that.

Wellington might start to show whether the Boks at Ellis and Eden Park were an aberration on recent years, or a slight slipping away from the very peak.

We can't always be miserable, any win against the boks is a good win, credit to all of them.

So much to like - rucks being attacked, defence, 6/7/8 combination worked well

So much to work on - kicking, backline attack, bits of set play, back 3.

Best thing was we didn't crack under pressure but found a way to win. That's a big, big plus,

My Dad was at Eden Park in 1956 when the All Blacks secured that famous series. I have listened to and watched hundreds of All Blacks games with him.

    He died on Tuesday.

That one was for you, Dad.
