Accurate box kicking? Tactics? That's not how we play! So unfair!

I have only just read Chris B.’s post of three days ago, in the context of some posts about the Grizz Wylie era. The number 7 through that Shield era, and against the 1971 Lions, was Alex Matheson.
Alex unfortunately passed two weeks ago.
He used to say that the violent legend of that game was exaggerated and mostly created by the northern media.
Fergie had a certain changing room reputation which you may have heard, Chris?Yeah - I've read several times that that Lions-Canterbury game was over-hyped, mainly by the British media. Somewhere I've got TP McLean's book of the tour - TP may have said it. And that the Lions were no angels.
If I ever knew of Fergie's dressing room reputation, I've forgotten.

Struggling to get the line up this week sorry team. Will do my best but may have to be a bit of a let down this week, unfortunate considering it’s arguably the biggest test since the World Cup final so my apologies.
If I hear anything though I will post it in here.

I think I can speak for most people on here, we appreciate your ongoing and accurate source of information. Always awesome seeing the side before the wider public and I hope we still continue to have that privilege.
There's no expectation for you to get this every week, it's more of a bonus for us all if you do.

I have been telling my Dad and brother my "predictions" for the team based off Landers92.

I've just come here after 4 days away and have scrolled through 300 posts just to get the Wednesday team from you!
Love your work fella

Thanks fellas appreciate it.
Bit slow getting this through. Crazy afternoon.
No exact line up but here’s what I know.
Sounds like Christie will start with Ratima being out. Preston to likely be the debutant off the bench.Narawa is on the right wing in place of Reece who drops out completely.
Wallace Sititi starts at 8. The big news being Vai’i is starting at lock with Fabian Holland moving to the bench. It’s shaping up like Simon Parker is getting his start at 6.
Should see everywhere else pretty much unchanged. Had a txt earlier today that couldn’t confirm the Fakatava chat so sounds like I was having my leg pulled there. Tamaiti Williams to come off the bench and hearing Kirifi has nabbed the loose forward bench spot.
-
A big test for that fairly inexperienced loose forward mix. One of Parker or Sititi is going to have to play a full 80 minutes unless Vaa’i moves from lock to blindside. Finishing with Savea, Kirifi and a fatigued Vaa’i is far from ideal.
Minimal changes to the backline after their last performance is expected but disappointing. The back three especially will be under scrutiny. Narawa should have been ahead of Reece in the pecking order anyway.

Yeah I would suspect when kirifi and holland come on , wallace and Parker will be the two that get replaced being slightly underdone.

I thought Holland was beginning to look gassed in BA.
Big shift from the young man, especially with Barrett and Tuipulotu injuries that might have otherwise seen him get bench minutes in a couple of games -
I wouldn’t be against Holland having a week to watch from the sidelines. Obviously I’d rather he’s in the 23 but he’s started every game he’s played for the ABs this year and I think played 80mins in all(if not then very close to it). Did the same for the landers all season long too. Bit of player management with a young guy in the tight 5 might not be a bad thing if they think Darry is up to it.
