Looking at the Leinster team that got thrashed by the Stormers, it isn't just the SA teams that send a B team for away games.

Leinster one from four so far this season, their win was against a sharks team that has lost every game so far. Both of these teams are performing well below their potential. Sharks lost to an average team yesterday even though they had 13 current springboks on the field.

@Steven-Harris He plays like a cross between Israel Folau and Christian Cullen. Probably a question of when, rather than if, he plays for England. One hell of a talent that's for sure.

@Steven-Harris He's been invited to train with, but not formally named as part, of Steve Borthwick's 36-man squad for the November Internationals:

John Plumtree finding the going hard as his Sharks get done over 26 - 34 at home by the unbeaten (but usually bog average) Ulster outfit and plummet to second last in the standings. Fortunately for them they are in the company of poor Welsh outfits Scarlets and Dragons so at least have that as some comfort in their effort to avoid getting any lower on the table.

Plumtree must be getting worried about his job after two seasons of sub par performance.

The French squad will probably include two future superstars of the game in wing Drean (Toulon) and midfielder Gourgues (Toulouse). They both have class and speed to burn.

I've no idea how good Caluori is, but i'd like to see him in defence before i claim he's the next big thing. Glad he's been brought into the England set up though, hope they look after him and he enjoys it. Him on one wing and IFW on the other could be exciting in the future.

In less positive news, pretty gutted to see Tom Willis announcement that he's going back to Bordeaux, he's basically made the England 8 shirt his own and its surprising he wants to give up on a World Cup spot just 2 years out. Perhaps points to a less than happy England environment when you can't keep a player like that.

@W32 Its a nightmare. The same happened to the previous coaches. The Springboks played without any passion or hunger. Maybe it's the fear for injuries. But then playing Edwill in 15 makes no sense at all. His u13 coach will agree with me.

I'm not sure that he thinks the 8 shirt is his. Borthwick keeps subbing him and often for some bizarre options. It's like he doesn't really trust him but sort of has no choice. For my money he should be nailed on and is a genuine 80 minute player. Methinks he has seen the writing on the wall. If so, that's very poor man management in a position where we are not overflowing with genuine options

I see Adams is being pilloried by Irish refs for red carding Josh Murphy after Murphy punched Jan Hendrik Wessels in the face. Camera angles were inconclusive as to if Wessels actually grabbed his balls or put his hand in that area to push Murphy away.. what was Adams supposed to do? Seems like the right decision to me.

All Blacks legend Ma’a Nonu continues to defy age with ease, this time becoming a centurion for the third rugby team in his career.

The 43-year-old made his 100th appearance for French Top 14 side Toulon on Monday in a 24-minute stint off the bench, playing a part in his side’s 45-21 demolition of Racing 92.

Nonu marked the occasion by scoring his third try of the season – and once again breaking his own record as the oldest player to dot down in the French competition.

It is the third side Nonu has brought up 100 games for, alongside the All Blacks and Super Rugby side the Hurricanes, where he played 103 tests and 126 games respectively.
