It's okay, I'm only a 3rd of the way through, still in the history lesson stage. I'm interested to see his conclusions (although I can already guess)
Next on the list is Utopia for Realists. Pretty sure I'm not going to agree with many of that authors views, but I'm reading to broaden my understanding of the other side of my economic beliefs.

Probably the best well known story about survivorship bias was where to armor planes during WW2 - when they were examining returning planes, they decided it was best not t put armor not where there are holes, but where there are no holes, since that’s where planes can’t survive getting shot

firstly, Lori Laughlin has not aged a day
2nd, are we supposed to be surprised people who can afford to, are paying more to get their kids in to a good school? How is that even news? Fuck, i would do it. Anyone who says they wouldn't either doesn't have kids, or is a liar.
This is what you get for a system that cares more about what the name of the school is than anything else.
