Australia building a healthy lead and they are twisting the knife. Ruthless, ruthless, ruthless.

In the next half hour or so they can take this game out of England's reach.

Day 3 session 1 complete. Aussies ahead by over a hundred and Starc hearing toward 50. Not following live as I'm at a music festival (Good Things - Garbage, Weezer, Tool coming up) in 40°C heat.

Commentary on Cricinfo indicates there aren't many demons in the pitch, so it'll be interesting if England's batting line-up show a bit of resolve once they're in.

This is ideal from Australia's point of view. Cook the fragile English bowling attach further, then Starc with a new pink ball under lights.

I’m pretty impressed with him actually, interviewers compared him to Wasim Akram and he was having none of it. Very modest

    Innings ends on 511.

TBH could have been a lot more if Green and Smith didn't decide to fail hard.

Starc needs another 700ish runs to go past Warne for most test runs without a ton.

England survive unscathed to the end of the session and pile a few runs on while they're at it

Australia now in total control of this match now and scenting English (or players who play for England's) blood.

An innings victory is a possibility.

@NTA If Australia can get Root and Brook both out quickly, it will be night-night for England.
