The Italian triple jumper is easy on the eye.

@MajorRage said in Olympics Thread: The Dutch anchor in the mixed 4 x 100 is arguably the best run I’ve ever seen. Incredible. She ran like it was 100 m even though it was actually 400 m!

@Billy-Tell said in Olympics Thread: Is there any evidence against the Chinese swimmer…or is just that he’s Chinese? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. But if you google him now it’s all about the speculation of being a drugs cheat. Absolutely shameful.

The Chinese do have history so im not saying he’s definitely clean but it strikes me as a bit of racism for the moment.

@Billy-Tell probably more casual than actual. Brett Hawke knew what he was doing.

@SBW1 said in Olympics Thread: New Zealand at 7 medals kind of feels we are in a holding pattern and are a bit stuck. Can we beat 20? I don't think we can. Where will they come from? Canoeing and kayaking? Cycling? Outside chance in the high jump?

@SBW1 said in Olympics Thread: Do you think we might be looking at a leaner medal tally? We are only halfway through the games. Without giving it too much thought, I'd say yes. The 20 came with a domination of a sport, rowing. Back to a more normal haul in rowing , so back to a more normal overall tally

100 metres is pretty brutal if you have a false start. Four years of training down the gurgler. I reckon they should have a repercharge heat for the false starters where they are penalized by having their blocks moved back a metre - so they have to run 101 metres.

Watched a couple of guys get DQed from their heats last night. Must be guttering that you don't even get the chance to lose.
