Just watched the race. Wow what a smashing. Carrington is such a machine, both her and Hoskins barely look like they're breathing. Lisa's longevity is remarkable, and by helping to blood her younger boat mates with gold medal success she is establishing her legacy

While we're on improving the Olympics
Fencing is poncy as fuck. Give them real swords and add some fucking jeopardy.
And then the super gay modern pentathlon should be a death sport. Duels until 1 is left.

It's the gentleman's event which would be vastly improved if they had to do it wearing smoking jackets and holding a glass of scotch in their free hand.

What I noticed was how effortless it looks for the best crews. Almost as if they're not trying to grab too much water.

Gave a whole lot of their journalists including the weatherman a cushy gig in Paris.

If Lisa happens to win her eighth gold in the individual she will slot into the alltime list at 16th - pushing Usain Bolt down to 17th, by dint of having a bronze medal that Usain doesn't have!

Big pressure on Fisher now. After having beat Carrington in the lead up, she will expect much. But the Olympics are Lisa's party, I hope whatever happens we get a NZ 1-2, and I wouldn't bet against the Dame
