Great to see Sacred Heart win. My old man went there and my uncle taught there.

MAGS will be tough next week though.

Bit late to the party, but John McGlashan College broke a 98-year duck to beat Otago Boys 17-15 on Saturday. They will play Southland Boys to see who represents Otago/Southland in the South Island final.

As expected Hastings looks the team to beat.

Hamilton BHS came from behind to beat St Johns 32-29 in a thriller on Tues in the Waikato final of the Chiefs region. Rotorua BHS edged Tauranga BC 27-25 in the BOP final.

So that means the Chiefs SFs in the Top 4 will be Hamilton BHS vs New Plymouth BHS and Rotorua BHS vs Wesley. Matches are played this Sat.

North Harbour schools final tonight as curtain raiser to Harbour v Counties and it's Westlake vs Massey.

Regardless of the result Westlake are going ahead to the play the winner of the Auckland schools final for a spot in the Top 4 tournament in Palmerston North. Massey are going to the Blues top 4 co-ed playoffs.

Wellington College at home on Saturday with a 12.00pm kickoff. Will have to make an effort to get along if I don't make it up to McLean Park or get an unexpected late call up from Steve Hansen.

24 - 3 to Westlake at half time. All tries scored by the inisi brothers, one has a hat trick and the other one.

Mt Albert Grammar win the Auckland 1A title - 15-13 over Sacred Heart. Sacred Heart almost won it at the end with a brilliant 80 metre attack but the final pass was a loose one.

Hamilton BHS beat New Plymouth BHS 36-10. I noted that the NPBHS team had a Lilley, Slater, Boshier and Naholo playing.

It made for a nice interlude meeting up and sharing a beer with good number of doolan supporters, all St. Pats Old Boys, tonight who thought their team was the cats whiskers. I took great pleasure of informing them of the scoreline whilst wearing my Hawkes Bay jersey. It will take a major upset to see Hastings get tipped over in the race to find NZs top school team this year.

Yep much closer for me too. Westlake (or whoever north harbour winner is) usually loses this game by 30 to 50 points. Was 5 all half time!

It appears so. The Top 4 SFs work on a rotation so every region plays the others over a 3-yr cycle.
