@Victor-Meldrew can't disagree with any of that.
Time for Love to at least have time at 10 /15, no point waiting.
Give Jordie - Proctor/QT time hopefully it will gel.
Selections much better than last year.
The heat is on SB as PT/Holland/Vaai all playing well.

Razor is basically selecting how he should have last season
Yes
It was a fault.
We need to explore options at first five right now. Currently our first five tactical kicking and exits are poor. Still getting too many aimless up and unders.
Roigard showed outstanding skill with tactical kicking on Saturday and the 10 needs to do the same.Sititi-Roigard-?-Jordie is now strong. Who's going to grab the ? to take us to 2027.
He'll be thrilled getting a mention despite not playing this year. Charlie Ngatai never had it so good.
It's called extrapolation in my mind

@reprobate On domestic form DMac has been the best 10 for the past 2 years. I don't get it.
-
What stack do you run.
I was brought up in Wellington using pencil and paper.
Managed to teach my old brain computing and ran a LAMP stack for our business. Now you can cheat code with grok. -
I agree DMac's form has warranted more of a run at 10.

I'm more confident now with the ABs than anytime in the last 5 years
Anyone else agree. -
I think it would be smart to start Patty T with Holland on September 6 in Auckland
-
Actually things are pretty rosy at the moment. We supporters have suffered a lot in the past 5 years.
Moving Savea to 7 and Reiko to wing is better. Who would have thought...
Kinda think we maybe missing a trick not developing Love -
Just watched it. Roigard's kicking and distribution top drawer.
Holland dropped a couple in second half but otherwise does his core role so well.
Vaai adds starch at 6 I think we should continue with this.
Narawa very composed did well
Proctor more composed this week has x factor.
We are missing Williams and Sititis running -
@nzzp Proctor will probably have the most scrutiny on him this week. I hope he goes well.
A Barrett-Proctor combo could be a game changer for the backline.
Early days -
Very glad Ioane on the wing.
Backline exciting.
I thought the backline last week looked capable of breaking down defences through good passing. -

@gt12 yeah, they've got a lock in Holland now that is built for test footy, and boy do we need his size. That added to Vaa'i completely outplaying Barrett last year has put them in a bit of a spot re: the three. Dropping Vaa'i when he's really come of age at test level would be crazy, and they can't drop their captain, but one of the shorter locks has to make way. The problems at 6 have given them a bit of an out so to speak, but it's dependent on Vaa'i making it work there, which is not that fair on him. If Vaa'i can make the transition from playing like a lock to more of a 6 then I can obviously see the big upside to that, but it's a risk.
If ardie looks impressive as captain in the rest of this series it could add a bit of spice to all this
Well Vaai was more effective at 6 last game than a lot of the 6s we have had over the past 2-3 years.
He's becoming a first rate player -

Holland's received a lot of praise but I was a little bit underwhelmed.
He didn't really put a foot wrong but he also didn't do anything to suggest he's a better option that Lord or Tuipulotu at this stage. I'm absolutely not saying he shouldn't be in there, I'm as keen to see him given a go as anyone else and I'd love for him to be the new Brodie Retallick, but I've not yet (yet is key, obviously) seen anything from Holland to suggest he's anything more than a safe pair of hands in the second row.
Again, very happy to get him getting some minutes and would certainly keep giving him time in the saddle, but it's a bit unfair that we expect the loose forward to all be dynamic carriers of the ball or threats at the breakdown when the bar for Holland seems so low?
Topping the tackle charts with 17, topped the lineouts won with 7 and carried 13 times
-
I'm not disagreeing with you. Thank goodness we won. We were a dropped pass away from losing
-
@Bones there was a genuine chance we could have lost that. If so I'd be feeling as sick as a dog right now. I take the win and move on.
-
How good is it to have a unit in the middle of the lineout securing possession, catching kick-offs and the scrum not going backwards.
-
@reprobate
these low percentage kicks were the biggest blight on the game. At times we need to slow it down and just build pressure through pick n goes and Roigard running a bit more. -
Please consign dinks and cross kicks to history.
-
Don't repeat the mistake of 2024. DMac deserves a start at 10 and it's long overdue to give Love a start at 15.
Proctor or QT at 13.
