@foobaNZ DMac seems to have really improved on this tour.

@1kiwi The run outs were crucial. Particularly of Tendulkar who could have put the game out of reach the way he was playing.

The innings by Cairns in the chase was world class. At that period he was pretty much the number 1 all-rounder in the world and he lived up to that despite playing the game with a knee injury. Great moment in NZC history.

@sparky I still wonder how Isitolo Maka would have gone at the 99 WC.

@canefan It's a shame Chapman doesn't seem to bowl these days as he could have bolstered the batting and added another SLA option. Another batsman (Chapman
or Conway) may have also allowed them to take a more attacking approach through the middle overs (although given how well the spinners bowled it might not have come off).

If they were picking a squad with just Dubai in mind they might have also included another spin option.

Overall, they've done brilliantly well across the tri-series and Champions Trophy with the batsmen standing up and the fielding lifting (they showed a stat at the start of the final that NZ had the highest catching percentage 91%). Ravindra and Phillips were tournament stars with their batting and Phillips's stunning catching.

Should have gone to the bunker. Commentators seemed to think it would be hard to be sure it wasn't knocked on but it looked like a knock on just from the standard replay. Warriors at least showing they are the real deal this season despite the one-sided officiating.

Why take Gatland off when DMac looked to be off his kicking earlier?
