Yeah from a Southern Schools perspective I see the reasoning for it, greater level of competition, since there is only four schools down there up to it competitively. Not sure of the Crusaders schools justification for excluding STAC though.

@booboo I think it means the 1st test is the first game Auckland would host on the tour, but the article could have been clearer.

I expect Papakura will be back and one of Waiuku, Te Kauwhata or Onewhero will be the eighth team.

Hard, tough and uncompromising, as a player he would have walked through broken glass for Glenmark and Canterbury and through miles of stuff for the Black Jersey.

As a coach, he found ways to make sure that other players did too.

SA probably should have got home after that Klassens onslaught, but the impact of Bumrah on that pitch was also undeniable.

Waking up this morning with a hangover in Bangalore, fitting place to watch the final. Insanely emotional for the locals. Although was having more fun when SA looked to have it in the bag.

Although happy with the win some starting to see the BCCI influence being too strong, eg power over schedule impacting other teams for an ICC event

I played Prezzies today against Te Kowhai and gave Dwayne Sweeney a bit of a cheeky sprig in the ruck. A bit of chat that Charlie Ngatai (Māori Jesus) might come for a run. He has retired and has settled in Hamilton and works with one of our club Sponsors. He will be playing twilight cricket with the Te Rapa boys this summer so the boys will be in his ear no doubt to have a run and there is also chat about coaching.
