i wonder what odds you would have got five/ten years ago that waikato would beat auckland with sopaaga scoring winning try converted by cruden

that penalty/non penalty probably sums up rugby at the moment.contact with head is a penalty except when its not.
I'm happy it's wasn't called because what could Morgan have done he got low wasn't upright made head contact because other guy was low as well
but as we have seen countless times before head contact is automatic penalty.

can't agree with this point because Savea continues to be an enigma.

The ruck attendance stats posted in the other thread don't seem to match the eye test so i would be interest as to how many of those he arrived at 3rd and leaned on. He absolutely cleaned a couple later in the test, memorable for their exception.
But he's getting picked, he's playing 80, and he is going to do his own thing. The bigger question is what shirt should he wear?

The other 3 are small busy loose forwards without a real point of difference.

With Vaai and Finau playing the dirty stuff, Savea doing his thing, what do we need from the #8? Is it purely a worker? If so, then that guy can't be another smaller body, he needs to make a difference when contact is required.

I tell you what, a Finau, Savea, Vaai starting trio with Sititi off the bench would be tough to handle.

stan mcure did a knee training with otago npc last year and has not played this year as he recovers

vaai only had 3 carrys all game. we really need more than that . rugbypass stats anyone else have any?are these wrong for someone who majority had him as a top performer thats really low

didnt robertson say that all 33 will get a run in series.Given some have dropped out with injuries might make it a smaller pool but would expect changes

Not one of O’Keefe’s better games. Forward passes missed, refereeing of the breakdown was slanted towards the tackled side. I can’t recall one successful jackal or jackal penalty.

Warburton on comms had an interesting point in that if that is going to be the BO’K standard will it effect selection in the back row?

in reality you could make a argument for about eight or nine players and why they should have been picked .
