@Steven-Harris All.Rugby referenced this article (in French) -
    Google translation says -
Bernard Laporte announced it. “We leave ourselves the block of nine matches to start discussing the different issues,” assured the MHR rugby director at the beginning of October. But since the end of the summer, he and the staff have already completed a few.

According to our information, the club has obtained the agreement of Auckland Blues hooker, New Zealander Ricky Riccitelli (29 years old, 1.78 kg, 110 kg). Passed by the Hurricanes (2015-2021), he has a selection with the All Blacks XV, the reserve of the national team. In 39 matches with the Blues, he scored 14 tries.

Run Ricky run, if NZ Rugby don't want you, cash in pal. Fuck em. He's definitely a top 5 hooker in New Zealand, crazy he didn't make the All Blacks XV squad.

And now the nightmare becomes real, Cody will probably be out, I'd feel happier with Ricky on the bench instead of the greenhorns that were picked in the AB XV

@jauzy019 good on him, can't see him cracking black with these shit selectors. Hopefully we get Mounga back to prove he's a poor man's Smith.

your French is better than mine (!) but it doesn't read like it is certain-he is still to sign?

The Blues key players are leaving in droves.
Well I guess at least the ABs have Havili Reece Blackadder and Fihaki to call on. Sigh.

@jauzy019 He is a great signing. I suspect he's been told where he is in the ABs selectors' picking order and it isn't high. A shame because he would have a lot to offer a coaching team who didn't see everything through Red and Black glasses.

@WoodysRFC if the reports are correct he'll join Clermont for the 2025-6 season ie from September 2025. He'll have another Super Season at the Blues.

Same as Ricitelli who is apparently off after this next season I think. Plummer going might explain why the 'Perofeta to the Canes' rumour never happened. Lets hope Rico Simpson has a good NPC and is ready to step up. Still only 18 right now though.

There could be a mass exodus of No 10s after next year's Super Rugby season. Three or four by my count.

I can't recall such a dearth in quality at the 10 position in SR. There is no one to seriously challenge DMac and BB

Barrett is signed through 2027, so probably not him.

                                          Plummer, Perofeta, Cameron, Trask?
