I was hoping that, among many things from the Indian series, finally winning a series 3 - 0 might mean a sign of consistent high quality individual performances. But there's a reason so few Black Caps command high dollars in the likes of the IPL...

These two really need to go big for us to get back into this test match. Arguably our two best batsmen need to convert in what’s pretty good conditions atm.

Just open with Williamson, he’s in so early anyway, I don’t think it will make much difference.There was a telling stat earlier about Conway averaging 55+ in his first 12 tests, and something like mid 20's in his 14 most recent tests. Young isn't a perfect replacement, but is doing a lot better than Conway lately.
