Lead nearly 600. Time for the declaration.

This is what we should have done in test one

True, but if we caught a few we wouldn't have been chasing 600 !

Lots of wanking on about Ravindra on here but Mitchell is a much more accomplished batsman who deserves more plaudits

You have a weird obsession with Ravindra.

First you questioned for ages whether he should be in the side over Nicholls

Now that he is in the side you single him out time and again any time he doesn't score 50+

Every innings doesn't have to be a referendum on Ravindra.

Not really. We’re not exactly at Hoskins Sotutu level obsession.

I just think he’s a bit overhyped that’s all. He’s the 27th best batsman in the world currently. Mitchell is 8th.

He's also 8 years younger than Mitchell.

Yep and I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve to be there. I just think the consistent performances aren’t quite there yet. ( did I really question his inclusion over Nicholls ? I must have had too much home brew )

Maybe I’m judging him too harshly too early on. I probably should have said Mitchell was much more accomplished at the moment.

I’ll go back to griping about Southee while I still can.

Doesnt look to be any demons in this pitch, if bazball gets going, its going to be an interesting two remaining days

Nice little cameo by the "allrounder" Satnav, seems weird saying that, but good on him for turning some form around lately

If he gets a couple of wickets or more in the second innings Santner is a shoo in for MOTM.

Anything can happen the way England play.

Hopefully the Crawley/Henry clash keeps going like it has been

We don't need to still be batting. Let the bowlers have a go now.

Given Bazball, the lack of declaration is understandable.

657 for Eng to win, probably not a record we would want to own, would be like 26 lol.

    Come on NZ!

No fairytale batting wise for Southee, can only hope he has been saving some of his best deliveries up his sleeve for one final innings.

All out. England need just the 658 runs to win which would smash the record for the biggest successful Test chase.
