@mariner4life looks like it will still be slow moving once it hits too.
Worst possible result - just means it's dumping rain for longer.
-
Although these delays have me saying to family and friends up there it's starting to look like

this is why i thought it was hilarious that Brisbane basically shut down on Wednesday. panic merchants much?
-
and the best bit is all the nuffies did their stock up on Monday, so they are likely out of food already

I've bought a gas bottle and beer
So yes
And yet again, I question Mrs TA's decision to go to Cairns in high summer...
Cairns, where the ladies are very very hot.

My Mum who lives in Coolangatta:
Two days ago - this is all a media beat up.
Today - power's been out for 24 hours. As long as she is ok is the main thing
-
It's feeling like a bit of a non event from where I sit - Brisbane's North. A bit of heavy rain overnight and the odd wind gust but there have been numerous times during the last few years where things were worse.
-
Brisbane gets worse summer storms.
Media still trying to whip up a frenzy of panic. Pathetic.

Mrs TA had the TV on this morning. Channel 7 Sunrise is trying their best to still paint it as a monumental disaster, with 6 reporters out on the ground, and TBH while it looks bad, it is hardly the apocalypse.
It isn't. Seen much worse. Only people disappointed are the media.
Surprised the usual dickheads hording toilet paper and baked beans still didn't have stockpiles left from Covid.

Plenty of posts showing this type of erosion and then comments saying it happens all the time?
