@JK I'd like Rory to win too, but reckon it'll be someone known, but less talked about (Fleetwood, Min Woo Lee, Morikawa type)
As always, I'd love for Adam Scott to win, but think his time has passed.

given his form, you kinda have to think, if not this year, then probably never

The problem with Rory in recent years is that the higher the expectation, the more chance that he will shoot 79 in the first round.
@KiwiPie I think the whole LIV/PGA thing has been a millstone around his neck, and with that less of a thing, hopefully it means he has been able to focus more on playing golf than the peripheral shit.
Speaking of the LIV crew, Bryson and Brooks in with a shout I reckon.

Some pretty good scoring so far. Rose leading at -6 thru 12.
At the other end of the field, poor Nick Dunlap (2024 rookie of the year), has s shot a 90!

How does a top player do that? Even Langer in his final ever Masters managed a 74!
Dunlap with not a single birdie - a triple bogey, 4 double bogeys and 7 regular bogeys - just 6 pars. My golfing insight helps me predict that he won't make the weekend

Certainly a good opening round! Scheffler nicely placed too. Rory with it all to do with a meltdown of a back nine finishing even.
