@Stargazer Wellington scored the winning try well after normal time to avoid going to extra time.

Well done the Waikato boys after the heartbreak of losing late in last years final. I watched parts of the game. Waikato started strongly and had a healthy lead before Auckland stormed back and made the final a cliffhanger at the end.

Was going to post the other day but forgot.

Cheers for the updates, Stargazer. I found some highlights of the Graham Mourie Cup final:

Couldn't find the Michael Jones Trophy final, sadly.

The Head Coach of NZ Schools is Jason Holland (Hurricanes Assistant Coach). Some of the Hastings BHS must have seriously pissed him off this season; how else would you explain that none of them made it in the NZ Schools squad? Hastings BHS were only beaten once this season. In the National Top 4 final. Geez, I find it incomprehensible! Four of the Hastings Boys in the NZ Barbarians Schools squad is a small consolation price after such a great season.

@Stargazer Selection in this team is always at the whim of the coach. Obviously Holland was determined to pick as many sons of former players as possible. I can't believe Slater is one of the hookers as when I've seen him play his lineout throwing and scrummaging have been average.
