Personally would have had both Kolo and May ahead of some of those origin picks. Incredible energy levels

not as bad as i feared, but that Coates/Toia edge has me very worried.
Not sure Cotter is an edge forward, but he has that Origin mongrel to match what Martin and Crichton will bring.
DCE and Munster better have blinders given they are keeping Dearden out of the starting side.

both attacking geniuses but could be considered weak defensively for sure.

Like the Fermor addition, perhaps will move onto the edge and allow cotter some middle rotation as well. Could also cover Toia if he ends up a leak

May clearly isn't liked at all. Brandy came out bagging him last week, so clearly there is something behind the surface.

Either way, both May and Koloamatagi should be in the 20 man squad.

remember after Vegas? post after post on any form of social media about how we sucked and Metcalf was absolutely not him.
              That's like a different season.

Laurie Daley reckons Metcalf is easily the most improved player in the comp, and it's not close.

To be fair, he has improved a lot throughout the season, as has CHT. Do either of them look like they can close out a game consistently, probably no, but improvement is there.

I humbly eat my words at this stage of the season.

Definitely not me, I wouldn't have had him starting this year, and especially not at 7.

But, what do I know, I also thought Webby wouldn't dump his small man bench and he has done to great success (even if it was enforced by injury and player movement ....)

Metcalf has shown a Chad Townsend like turnaround, thankfully he did while at the Warriors and not when he left.

I too must humbly eat my words.

I think a lot of you guys were doing the old reverse psychology trick in regards to the Wahs. Yes I had them just outside the 8 at the start of the year, but they were nowhere near as bad as some of you guys were making them out to be.

Funny comp so far having said that. This could be a year where the Winner comes from the bottom half of the 8. The top 3 for instance, let's be honest, they don't scare anyone. Yes, the Wahs and Dogs are tough and grind, but you'd fancy your chances if you got them. It's like the NBA in some ways this year's finals race.

hard disagree on the Dogs. For the 2nd year running they appear to have the best defence. Their pack is really strong and works hard. Kikau is an elite edge weapon.

Then in guys like Kiraz, Crichton, Tracey and Xerri they have dangerous backs. Throw in those Burton bombs and there are points out there. You wouldn't call their spine elite, but it does what it has to do.

We all know defence wins games, but cant see them winning comp personally, their spine is their weakness. But even that comment depends though on who goes through on the other side of the draw. I suspect they go very deep but if against a Melbourne in a final I don't think the dogs win. If they come up against a Wahs team they beat us.

Yup, hard to disagree on their defence. Ciraldo has done a great job with it, like he did at Penrith.

Problem I have with the Dogs is that I'm not sure if they have another gear, similar to the Wahs. Yes Penrith would win a lot of games on defence in the last 4 years, but we all knew they had another gear on attack when they needed it.

Melbourne, who have lost 3 more than the Dogs and 2 more than the Wahs, have another gear, and I think will get better defensively when the crunch comes towards the back end of the season. They're coasting currently. Brisbane should be doing better if they could sort their shit out behind the scenes, and I'd even say Cronulla have more to give as the comp goes on.

I think there's still a lot that will happen to the table between now and the end of the season.

We all know defence wins games, but cant see them winning comp personally, their spine is their weakness. But even that comment depends though on who goes through on the other side of the draw. I suspect they go very deep but if against a Melbourne in a final I don't think the dogs win. If they come up against a Wahs team they beat us.

A Bulldogs v Warriors final might get a record for lowest scoring in the modern era if it happens. πŸ™‚

lol, I doubt it, doggies supporters almost filled out a home game at homebush not long ago, I think they had 65k for the good friday game (almost if not sold out) and if there were seats left the many long suffering warriors fans would certainly come out of the closet, including the once a decade band wagoners!

                                        yeah i did, my bad

it would be a dire game, they would fail to score tries but might get kicks and if we fluked a try we wouldnt convert!
