Definitely not me, I wouldn't have had him starting this year, and especially not at 7.

But, what do I know, I also thought Webby wouldn't dump his small man bench and he has done to great success (even if it was enforced by injury and player movement ....)

Metcalf has shown a Chad Townsend like turnaround, thankfully he did while at the Warriors and not when he left.

I too must humbly eat my words.

Now if he could improve his goal kicking.......

I think a lot of you guys were doing the old reverse psychology trick in regards to the Wahs. Yes I had them just outside the 8 at the start of the year, but they were nowhere near as bad as some of you guys were making them out to be.

Funny comp so far having said that. This could be a year where the Winner comes from the bottom half of the 8. The top 3 for instance, let's be honest, they don't scare anyone. Yes, the Wahs and Dogs are tough and grind, but you'd fancy your chances if you got them. It's like the NBA in some ways this year's finals race.

hard disagree on the Dogs. For the 2nd year running they appear to have the best defence. Their pack is really strong and works hard. Kikau is an elite edge weapon.

Then in guys like Kiraz, Crichton, Tracey and Xerri they have dangerous backs. Throw in those Burton bombs and there are points out there. You wouldn't call their spine elite, but it does what it has to do.

We all know defence wins games, but cant see them winning comp personally, their spine is their weakness. But even that comment depends though on who goes through on the other side of the draw. I suspect they go very deep but if against a Melbourne in a final I don't think the dogs win. If they come up against a Wahs team they beat us.

Yup, hard to disagree on their defence. Ciraldo has done a great job with it, like he did at Penrith.

Problem I have with the Dogs is that I'm not sure if they have another gear, similar to the Wahs. Yes Penrith would win a lot of games on defence in the last 4 years, but we all knew they had another gear on attack when they needed it.

Melbourne, who have lost 3 more than the Dogs and 2 more than the Wahs, have another gear, and I think will get better defensively when the crunch comes towards the back end of the season. They're coasting currently. Brisbane should be doing better if they could sort their shit out behind the scenes, and I'd even say Cronulla have more to give as the comp goes on.

I think there's still a lot that will happen to the table between now and the end of the season.

A Bulldogs v Warriors final might get a record for lowest scoring in the modern era if it happens. πŸ™‚

lol, I doubt it, doggies supporters almost filled out a home game at homebush not long ago, I think they had 65k for the good friday game (almost if not sold out) and if there were seats left the many long suffering warriors fans would certainly come out of the closet, including the once a decade band wagoners!

                    yeah i did, my bad

it would be a dire game, they would fail to score tries but might get kicks and if we fluked a try we wouldnt convert!

To make guys feel like they're closer to an origin call up than they really are. Mal Meninga used to do it when he'd call up guys like Ben Lowe, Michael Luck etc even though he never had any intention of ever playing them.

AOB might not be first to go this year, even if he has lost the team due a clause in his contract. The pay out would cost the club more than they could afford. Having 800k halves in reserve grade doesn't help either

Galvin getting closer to the door and moving him on feels like the right thing for both parties

Warriors do something that well set up clubs only tend to do with Leka and Laban extending contracts to 2029, well done to them

hate this. kid has fucked up a promising season and he's not even that good. Would absolutely love the Tigers to throw him in NSW-cup and just leave him there until the end of next season.

Absolutely fuck player managers, it has become far too one-sided in the NRL, and the poor clubs seem to be doing it tougher than ever.

yes that part I agree with, unfortunately the way the players responded on social media opened them up to legal threats from Moses, giving them only one real option.

It also does appear the recent circus has had an impact on the field as well, even when he was in reserve grade.

As much as I loved the Tigers playing hard ball initially, getting rid of him now does seem like the better option. Player managers have so much power its not funny

at a time when things like the Adam Selwood situation has happened, pulling that card because you aren't getting what you want is an absolute fluffybunny of a move and one i will never, ever get behind.

For a side that prides themselves on defence, an yes, they had some out (like everyone else), the Dogs defence was horrendous last night. They played like they didn't want to get dirty, and most of the tries the Phins scored were through one on one misses or laziness around the ruck.

They don't seem to enjoy playing in the wet.
