No it wouldn’t because both the Crusaders and Brumbies would be out. So the rankings would go Chiefs, Canes, Reds, Blues wouldn’t it? Or would the Canes then go top?

No it wouldn’t because both the Crusaders and Brumbies would be out. So the rankings would go Chiefs, Canes, Reds, Blues wouldn’t it? Or would the Canes then go top?

I think it would be better and easier to follow if lucky loser dropped to the bottom seed, not just drop one spot. -

@MiketheSnow I find it not right how one of the Brumbies or the Hurricanes could get beaten by 100+ points next weekend, but rise up from the dead for the Semi Final.
That's not knockout Rugby. -
The only way the Brumbies v Hurricanes game isn't a dead rubber is if either the chiefs or crusaders lose. Then the brumbies v hurricanes is a straight knock out...

@WestieFella But they will know the results of those other two games by the time they play. That is surely a massive error by the organisers.
We could have a spectacle that lets down the fans who have played to watch a knockout match and does massive damage to the reputation of the tournament.
