    Good luck to him. Didn't really get a chance to show if he do a job for the ABs, go for the money

    I’ve always rated Stevenson and would have had in my AB side but as soon as the ABs brushed him off, this was inevitable. Good luck to him, the sort of talent we shouldn’t have let go so easily IMO.

      Quite a bit better than James Lowe, enough said.

        It's disappointing that Stevenson didn't get more chances when a dirtbag like Reece who has a number of mediocre tests and has managed to play plenty.

            Shame. Would strengthen NPC and Super Rugby.

              I don't think that's true at all.

              But, I think they were both unfairly overlooked for the ABs.

                  @KiwiMurph That's interesting.

                  Definitely, doesn't sound like he's coming back with the intention of making a bid for the ABs this season - if ever.

                      No.

                      I really struggle to squeeze Stevenson into the squad.

                      And Lowe was impatient. But then again he would fit our style.

                          @KiwiMurph Quite possibly.

                          I think he'd be 33 at the next RWC - not too old but high milage.

                          In any case, it he was serious about coming back to fight for an AB spot, I think he would've had to do it this year.

                          He'd already left the door well ajar to be supplanted and another year away it's wide open - if not blown off its hinges.

                                    Not sure if it’s been mentioned on here yet but Ngani Laumape is leaving Kobe Steelers after 3 years.

                                    Is he Moana Pasifika’s next big signing?

                                      @Canes4life If so would that put him in contention for a spot in the All Blacks for the next World Cup? Would be a good pickup for the Highlanders.

                                        @Canes4life I think that it is highly possible.

                                          Is there a reason he hasn't turned out for Tonga yet? Been 5 years since his last game for the All Blacks. All that chat around swapping and hasn't put his money where his mouth is.
