Those were the days though but it definitely wouldn't fly in 2025. Now we have to fork out our hard earned for overpriced shit piss.

One group brought in a bathtub full of ice and beer. IIRC sometime between lunch and tea it slid down the hill and crashed halfway through the boundary fence. The commentators discussed whether it would be a four or a six if the ball hit or landed in the bathtub.

Could never do that, but by christ you could sneak a bit in. And remembr when kids wore baggy pants with elastic around bottom, I am disappointed to say I used to get 10 yo sone to slip 6 cans down the legs of his because who checks kids?
But to be honest I one of these grumpy old bastards, not a fan of multi colour boots, etc etc. I can do without music blaring at grounds (but realise why it's sone) as I am of the age where you went to rugby to watch, and talk to your mates and people around about game when there was a stoppage. And I will add even more I would like someone to kneecap anyone involved in a mexican wave , while the game is on, if you need it have a bunch of fun at halftime.
