Exactly, they are just making it worse.
That article actually reads pretty sinister to me. Sounds like he's worried about being sued (rightly so), has apologised, but then dangled out the fact he has video of the incident.
Any decent human being would have deleted the video and any other recording he made. The fact he hasn't underlines my initial thoughts that this couple are scum.

luckily the anonymity of being a 'source' for jouranlists provides them some form of privacy, unlike walls and a locked door on a toilet.

Anonymity is given away far too easily by journalists these days. I'm sick of reading stories where a subject only peripheral to the story is someone who ''did not want to be named'' but then casts all sorts of aspersions on the central character of the story.
And I'm in the industry!
