Aaron Smith naughty boy?
-
They could have gone to the NZRU not the media, and then not recorded it...I think the latter in particular is what makes people more angry at them.
-
Can only assume this guy doesn't like rugby, would anyone on the fern (excluding NTA and co obviously) do what he did?
-
What a fucknuckle.
It wasn't meeeeeeee. My wife wanted toooooooooooo.
Uh, so why did you record the incident on YOUR phone then? You could have left the bathroom, with your kiddie, AT ANY TIME.
And I hope you are having a shitty time, you and your shitty moral hypocrite of a wife. You suck as people.
-
@Mokey TBF, I guess if his missus was like you gotta give me that clip to send to the media....although, now he's saying it was her is gonna get him in heaps of shit too!
It's the recording part he needs to man up and take responsibility for
-
The coward still won't identify himself
Yet the media and him have added this to the story:
they believed the woman involved was an flight attendant or airport employee
Small airport, female employee, photo of her from behind.. All her friends and family will know exactly who it is. How is that fair?

Exactly, they are just making it worse.
That article actually reads pretty sinister to me. Sounds like he's worried about being sued (rightly so), has apologised, but then dangled out the fact he has video of the incident.
Any decent human being would have deleted the video and any other recording he made. The fact he hasn't underlines my initial thoughts that this couple are scum.
-
That's a weaselly addition to the story aye Duluth. Won't be long till her identity plus that of the couple are leaked.
Wonder if the wife was jealous she wasn't being duffed at the airport... by Smith!

Without a doubt. $10 says those two haven't had sex in 5+ years and are disgusted that other people could be having fun with such risqué sex.
-
@No-Quarter they have a baby so I guess if they do bonk its for procreation processes only.
How long can they stay anonymous in a country this size?
-
so them outing Smith and his friend hasn't been as anonymous as we are lead to believe, otherwise why exactly are they suffering?
If totally anonymous they would be sitting back going, thank f@ck no one knows it was us!

Futile attempt to garner a shred of sympathy?
-
luckily the anonymity of being a 'source' for jouranlists provides them some form of privacy, unlike walls and a locked door on a toilet.
-
Anonymity is given away far too easily by journalists these days. I'm sick of reading stories where a subject only peripheral to the story is someone who ''did not want to be named'' but then casts all sorts of aspersions on the central character of the story.
And I'm in the industry!
-
@Smudge Yeah. Far too many publications get away with 'a source close to' or 'an insider' 'or a friend/relative who did not wish to be named' these days. Little in the way of fact checking from a neutral perspective. So much for the fourth estate.

That kind of comes with the territory when you do something like that in a public place with a high profile place, no?
Sure you don't factor in the media shit storm, but you can't protest that your privacy is being invaded when you gave that up to kick this whole thing off. Could easily be sprung bad and face employment or police charges or be spotted by a family or friend and net the same result.
She isn't a victim and doesn't deserve name suppression, at the same time outing who this lady is adds little value to the story and the media have been pretty responsible IMO of not making this lass a household name.
Much like that couple in the office building window in Christchurch a few years back, when you take risks like that it isn't incumbent on the media to stop close friends and family from putting two and two together. It is awfully nice of them to not blast your name everywhere - if this had occurred in the UK she would be front page not Smith.
