You won’t get a more inspirational win than that. A team shorn of so many of their top players come to the other side of the world and edge a win against a fierce Māori team.

      Magic stuff

Yep a fierce Maori side shorn of even more of their top players. But you are right the Scots went well and should ne rightly proud of win.

I think it was Māori B vs Scots D

By all means give me 3 Scotland teams ahead of the one that played today:beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes: . But I agree they got 8 in Lions so rest is really who they thought are the best? MABs had probably 10 in ABs squad. They are just the teams that lined up.

Sheesh, you're laying it on a bit thick, even I know some of the Scots players, and I didn't know two of the Maori players. 😉

Poor game by the Maori, was Lowe injured, (more than likely considering his career) as I think they lacked actual wingers, especially in defence of those kicks that led to three of the Scots tries.

Massive effort from Scotland. Maoris were rather disappointing. Considering how many of Scotlands players are away with the Lions and other usuals like Darcy Graham, Kyle Steyn, Rory Darge, Jamie Ritchie and Grant Gilchrist all not playing in this game it was a massive effort. Credit to them.

Wasn't terrible, but didn't exactly take the game by the scruff of the neck. Lacklustre apart from a couple of nice touches.

Had the pleasure of sitting next to an elderly Uncle at Semenoff Stadium yesterday at the NZ Maori v Scotland game
Uncle hadn’t been to the stadium since the 1980s

The last game he had been to was the 1983 lions tour game against North Auckland which was a free flowing and entertaining contest played in front of a large and boisterous crowd

He said to me as the yesterdays game was coming to its conclusion that the game has no flow and the referee and TMO’s are now the stars of the show
and the stop start nature kills any momentum with players slow to pack scrums and forming committee meetings before lineouts are set up not to mention players that are going down with injuries miles away from the action and yet the game gets halted

At a time World Rugby are asking halfbacks to hurry up and clear the ball or a shot clock placed on goal kickers you really do have to wonder where this game is going ?

Still has a sharp mind for someone who is close to 90
Like uncle ,and while it was a treat to catch up with so many whānau that was attended to support the nephew who was playing for NZM
I was bored shitless for long periods of this contest.fortunately though sitting next to uncle and talking about great players from times gone by didn’t take away a great catch up
