    Horner sacked by Red Bull.

Sheesh, if Max goes they are in deep trouble. No Horner or Newey is already going to be huge change. I note the Racing Bulls boss has been "promoted" to Red Bull as well. Interesting times ahead there. Turmoil is good for other teams tho!

Max might see RB in decline, he appears to have one foot edging for the door

I know Max’s dad wasn’t keen on Horner so maybe it was either Horner goes or Max leaves, I guess Red Bull have chosen Max.

Or I’m just talking out my arse. 😂

That's the accepted narrative. But if they can't produce a competitive car Max will surely leave

Maybe Max is already gone? Could have been the last straw, Horner has to go, start from the bottom and build up a new team?

Otherwise surely Red Bull Racing is more attractive to Verstappen with Horner in charge? He knows how to create not just a winning team but a team that can completely dominate. That's got to be 10 times more important than a Team Principle getting along with your Dad, despite what the tabloids and netflix might want us to believe.

There was a group of people at Red Bull (Horner, Newey, Wheatly, Marshall, Marko and others) who are all as competitive as hell and for a long time they likely put their differences to one side because combined they ruthlessly created one of the most successful teams of all time. It has all been slowly crumbling since Dietrich Mateschitz passed away. Max's continued success has merely created a facade to cover what began to collapse 2.5 years ago.

The braking by Piastri was double the braking pressure applied by Russell at the previous incident and a massive departure from that Piastri did the previous laps.

In the conditions it was a matter of skill that prevented Max ramming up the arse of Oscar.

              The penalty was deserved.

              yes but . . .

do you think the penalty would have been applied if the circumstances were reversed

if the penalty was hanging over norris, and piastri was just behind him

so giving the aussie the win over the pom at the british GP

              i dont think so . . .

there would have been a riot for sure!

Unequivocally yes, it would have been applied and no, there wouldn't have been a riot. F1 media is pretty balanced over here. Yes, there is a natural bias towards the British drivers, but if Norris had pulled the Piastri move, people would have expected him to be punished.

Bit harsh on Red Bull IMHO to say what has happened over the last couple of years is a collapse. There are so many moving parts to creating an F1 team and all are subject to swings and roundabouts. It's not THAT long ago that Mercedes was completely dominant, leagues ahead of anybody else. Did they have a collapse? The difference is that despite their large drop off, Toto owns the team, so he basically cannot be sacked.

Regardless they have the financial backing to turn things around. They certainly have a very very interesting year ahead.

Max won the sprint. Did well to get past Piastri on the first lap

Sprint races kind of suck because no one wants to risk the rest of the weekend

                                    Brilliant by Lawson, makes Q3.

Just when it was looking peachy, Lawson sneaks past Tsunoda "after the bell", only for Tsunoda to sneak back past. Shittest RB driver of the day.

Now he has to survive the start and race clean. I heard rain might be coming which might suit him well, if he can get away clean
