Well, they're doing their best to make themselves relevant I suppose.

I'm sure it'll all be hugs and kind words after the actual fight.....

They are reportedly about to earn 2 mill each if they can sell it correctly and pretend they hate each other .

That is excellent money for two non boxers it must be said

Yep and two retired footballers , it’s hard to blame them,

In real boxing it’s looking increasingly like we are getting usyk v Dubois in July, not sure what it means for parker .

For such a specialised and downright potentially dangerous sport it baffles me ( and always has ) that people with athleticism, profile and a willingness to give it a go can go far. SBW has more pedigree than Gallen.....but by golly they would look like absolute chumps in the ring with any geniune top heavyweights.

It's a similar principle to a bunch of strong, fast, athletic guys giving Rugby a go.

I'm being serious here, SBW has boxed against more traditional (but faded) boxers hasn't he? And Gallen more against ex-leaguies? If so, despite and because of the different skillset/expeprience, could Gallen have an advantage (not height, fitness, age, reach, or perhaps traditional boxer training though)...

I'm transferring here, but have heard from oldtimers in other martial arts that sometimes it is harder to fight against newbies because they are so unpredictable (not knowing the proper techniques)...

    First time for everything 😉

SBW vs Gallen is an ( EXTREMELY ) poor mans Ali vs Frazier. With all due respect to a couple of excellent footy players who were great at what they did that is probably insulting to the actual boxers to make this comparison.

Worth noting Gallen beat Mark Hunt who knocked out SBW but then again there is the whole "styles make fights" argument so its a tough one to gauge.

They wouldn’t lay a glove on usyk ,nothing would land , Dubois would walk them down and destroy them within minutes , it would be cruel to watch .

Not only are they much inferior boxers , they are 39 and 43

I like how Usyk always has to fight English HWs twice.

Amazing that the rivalry continues into the next generation. The chances of one of them forging a career are low, BOTH of them is ridiculous.

Their old men were absolute warriors.

yeah was a great fight even if the two of them dont really trouble the top guys in their division ,

Sometimes a local grudge fight really delivers because of the intense rivalry

I love my boxing but refuse to pay for that , tried to find a stream but wasn’t having much luck and went to bed 😀

Sounds like a draw would have been a good result .

Some good fights Sunday though , usyk v Dubois and Tim tszyu tries to avenge his loss to fundora .

While on the usyk v Dubois fight,

Frank warren through the week in an interview said Joe parker is guaranteed to fight the winner,

I have mixed emotions on who I want to win , I think Joe has less chance of beating usyk but also has less chance of being brutally knocked out , Dubois is a lesser boxer but his power is real.

Dubois has a hail mary chance only, if he doesn't land a KO punch Uysk schools him again and gets DD to take a knee as he will think he is surrounded .

Same as the first fight, Usyk schools him again.

    That’s the safe bet,

I’m expecting dubious to try and start fast , going forwards throwing power shots in bunches , he basically has to . He’s not going to win rounds so has to try and make it chaotic and uncomfortable for usyk . The problem is usyk makes you miss and counter punches beautifully

The longer the fight goes , the harder it gets for Dubois .

That's Dubois style too, come out of the blocks hard and fast, problem for him is, is that the longer the fight goes on, the harder it'll be for Dubois to keep up, similar to when he lost to Joyce a few years back. Once you get a feel of Dubois power, I feel he doesn't have another gear, where as Usyk seems to get faster as the fights go on.

If anyone is to beat usyk , I think it has to be someone who can achieve that , throw power shots in bunches and something connects , particularly upper cuts and body shots .

In a fantasy fight a prime mike Tyson would probably be his worst opponent to face .

I think we might be in for a few good entertaining rounds early before usyk assumes control .
