No real arguments with anyone named, anyone who didn't think Christy wssn't getting named ,I suspect weren't really thinking. They not going into RC with only one halfback with test experience.
I was slightly surprised that Darry wasn't named, and with Parker there, is the Vai'i thing at 6 coming to end?

You would have to wonder why Fakatava signed a new contract.

@Bovidae some head scratching decisions there.

Presently for me Fakatava is in the top three halfbacks in NZ. How Preston and Christie get ahead of him I can’t understand.

Lord is made from glass and needs game time. How he’s ahead of Darry just makes no sense to me.

I’m not opposed to Parker being in the mix. But no Papalii is just wild. He’s in my mind miles ahead of Jacobson or Kirifi.

Surprised Carter got in over JRK and frankly I’m not thrilled about it.

Mafelio is a truely baffling decision. Dyer, Ma’au and a few other props would have the inside running over him there from my perspective.

@handa457 Mafelio should be encouraged to head to another super team, no point having a potential All Black prop playing most weeks for the hurricane hunters

This is damning with faint praise, but his defence has been very good for some time. He's more of a safe pair of experience to close out a game.

                      I guess.

The selections are a bit wild. I do not understand not dropping people who are injured, to just name injury cover. I guess it is to preserve $$$ for incumbents, but just seems a bit 'in group'

I dislike Christie as much as anyone but I can see why they picked him. Need an experienced 9 to go with Ratima across to Argie. He's played under these coaches. He's played 23 tests. Happy with Preston given a chance too.

It could be worse, I guess.

I'm relieved that Ethan Blackadder and David Havili aren't there.

Luke Jacobson is the new coaches' favourite and lives a charmed life for someone who is made of glass and hardly world class. God knows, what Dalton Papalii has done to piss them off?

Those injury cover selections are a bit baffling, aren't they? Tevito Mafileo would be no where that high on my prop depth chart and why isn't he named as a new cap?

Finley Christie's continued selection is troubling. Kyle Preston offers something different, I guess but Folau Fakatava and Xavier Roe are better players. Weird that Josh Lord (who is injured) gets picked ahead of Sam Darry who isn't.
