Qantas still had planes without individual screens in the 2000s?

Well Seabiscuit was supposedly a 2003 release, so yeah.

    Eddington (2025) ⭐ 6.7 | Comedy, Drama, Western

    Interminably boring, just like COVID

Lasted 55 mins then binned it. From the trailer there seems to be a modicum of action but must be after my turn off time

Come to the conclusion that anything with Emma Stone in it is hyped far beyond it's actual entertainment rating

Look forward to someone saying differently

2 get to the points out of 5 what's the point in continuing

@MiketheSnow "Interminably" added to lexicon. Thanks for that.

Ok so sat on a plane for a few hours

The thunderbolts - Marvel franchise. Actually best one I have seen for a while, bringing together some fringe characters in a well done way.
4 evil cushions out of 5 avengerz

Black Bag - spy drama by S. Soderbergh. A bit slow, some predictability but still entertaining enough and worth the watch. Fassbenders character is odd to the point of you think he could be a serial killer though
3.5 missing secrets out of 5 dodgy spies

    Lastly…
Minecraft the movie- yeah I wanted something I could potentially sleep too. Kids movie that was quite funny though in parts with some unexpected sexual innuendos making me lol. Based on the kids game with mamoa and jack black.
3 blocks out of 5 pork chops

    28 Years Later

Could very well have been a movie in its own right, but as it trades off the '28-franchise' it gets rated against them, that it will always struggle with.

All that being said, I did enjoy it for what it was, and was interesting with the 'evolution' of the Virus as well.

First two are amazing, have heard mixed things at best about the latest one. Will still see it at some stage though.

It didn't capture my attention and TBH I was quite bored by it. Like you said it could've (and probably should've) been a standalone.

    Too long between drinks ?

The second one set it up really well for a sequel but we’ve had to wait 19 years for it !

Possibly - I just wasn't engaged enough to really pay attention. And I got bored with the

    kid with the sick mum

    storyline

    F1: The Movie

Tremendous cinematography capturing the cars and giving the sensation of close, competitive racing. So that's the first liberty Hollywood has taken. The other is laughably inept plot where a 60 year old man wins a F1 Grand Prix after committing so many heinous transgressions he'd have his super licence suspended if the team hadn't already sacked him

Cue up another win for DEI. A pointless (and according to Mrs Antipodean, insulting) portrayal of a female engineer/ pit mechanic. A team principal who feels the need to operate a car jack. A technical director (think Adrian Newey) running strategy on the pit wall.

So if you're a fan of F1, it's comedically unrealistic. If you're not, then it's Top Gun Maverick on the track, but unwittingly a little more Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.

Nothing wrong with a bit of shake n bake!

Mental note not to take this movie seriously

Deep Cover - Sean Bean, Bryce Dallas Howard, Ian McShane, Orlando Bloom.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would!

    Pretty silly but decent enough.

3 lines of coke out of 5 fake guns

I've been meaning to see Deep Cover on Amazon Prime for ages and finally got around it yesterday

Funniest and cleverest thing I've watched in a while. Some top writing. Great cast who look like they really enjoyed themselves. Orlando Bloom on excellent form. Bryce Dallas Howard very likeable. Sean Bean being Sean Bean. Ian McShane delivering as he has for 50+ years.

The only thing that disappointed were some of the action scenes. And Sean Bean didn't say "bastard."

90 minutes flew by and contained lot of laughs.

Four out of work actors out of a 5 person London crime syndicate.
