I went to watch the Waikato U19s v BOP U19s. A high scoring game with Waikato winning 66-36. I was surprised that some key players like Fale were subbed so early in the 2nd half.

Also watched the 1st half of the Development game that followed. Chicago Doyle playing fullback for the BOP Dev so has obviously moved from Wellington to BOP.

One boy I know of has moved to St Peters from Pukekohe High and last year was Chiefs Under 16. I played with his dad, he hasn't got his height yet. Another boy I know makes it from Fraser High, in the lowest First XV grade. Still Year 12 so could move. Also a Chiefs U16 player. He wasn't much smaller when playing with my son in Under 14's.

The strange thing about the Waikato U18 squad named is that it doesn't include any players from St Paul's Collegiate. I've no idea why. There are players from some of the regional schools though.

The Men's Development and U19 competitions finished yesterday. As @mikedogz mentioned Counties won the Development competition, and Waikato beat Auckland 43-40 to decide the winner of the U19s.
